About the Boutique
In the Black American adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, known as The Wiz, the main character, Dorothy, hails from New York City instead of Kansas. Her address is 433 Prospect Place, the home she spends the entire film desperately trying to return to.
A dear friend and I love this film, the musical, and all it represents: family, joy, fear, discovery, and finding home within self. The address which we have both adopted as roomies has come to represent homeplace. Specifically, a home for us, our creativity, and our passion projects.
We will continue to develop, incubate, and roll out projects under our boutique production company. Each offering is designed to be authentic, uplifting, and centered on liberation and freedom.
At 433 Prospect Place, we are promoting a world full of love. Like yours. Like mine. Like home. We hope you will join us.

Never Imagined EP
TerahJay's debut EP "Never Imagined" is a concept album that explores possibilities, potentialities, and futures for Black Faculty in the U.S. Academy and Black people more broadly. This is the first album released under the 433 imprint.
The tracks, all sonically resonant as film scores, explore TerahJay's personal academic journey and the tension of being an artist and academic. In addition, interludes featuring Black scholars, producers, and artists enrich and provide context for the musical selections throughout the work.
Two tracks (Never Imagined & Ase Amen) are featured in the "Things We Imagined Documentary.
Scholar Forward
Beyond our core artistic work, we are thrilled to introduce a series of vibrant online workshops designed for you.
Our first: Scholar Forward. Designed for doctoral students, post-docs, and early-career scholars, Scholar Forward is a monthly workshop series that offers practical ideas, resources, and conversation about the work of being a scholar. Each month, we’ll explore a different topic across three tracks: Teaching, Research, and Praxis.
Each one-hour session will include a focused workshop, followed by Q&A and dialogue, with ample room for conversation and exchange.
